I created this painting from my imagination as part of a series of paintings done in a minimalist-impressionistic style with a palette of light, warm colours. I developed this scene intuitively, as I always do, while applying the paint. My main goal for the painting is to create a peaceful atmosphere and mood as the main subject, rather than any true detail in the painting. I find the warm glow of an autumn sunset so peaceful and comforting and I hope I have been able to bring these same feelings to you as well.
