I created this diptych abstract-impressionistic cloudscape painting from my imagination. The combined dimensions of the two panels are 60 x 40 inches. I wanted the cool dark panel to contrast with the warmer toned light panel, while keeping the same abstract flowing brushwork and theme of movement. Cool dark versus warm light. What does it mean? Perhaps our moods, our different sides of good and bad, dark and light. It’s Dark and moody hues blend on the left, transitioning into warmer, earthy tones on the right, creating a sense of contrast and depth. The abstract design suggests movement and atmosphere, invoking an emotional response as the colors shift from cool to warm.
